AUGUST 2008 MEETING HIGHLITES

• John gave a preliminary financial report on this years show and thanks to the Lions and Scofield's we will have enough capital for another show in 2009.
• We had one complaint about judging this year,John and Doug will work on judging ideas for 2009. Steve Lemke suggested judging sheet use for judges.
• John reported on the Club Cruise on August 9th to Paradise Landing,was great cruise and dinner but too far. John suggested that we keep the dinner cruises to 100 miles.
• Dan P. will work on tour of Hank Slimcas cars in the future.
• Marv reported that the swappers that attended the show were happy and will be back.
• New member Al Fliegel,Mayor of New Trier, volunteered the city park for our club picnic and new member Tom Fritz volunteered his vendor trailer for cooking our meal items. This was approved by the members to use this location for the picnic on Saturday,September 6th,starting at 3pm. Club will provide Brats, Hamburgers and condiments,plates and tools and pop. members to bring games,chairs,special refreshments and a dish to pass. Last names from A to M,bring salads and last names from N to Z, bring desserts to pass.
• The members approved sponsoring a Swap Meet at Kevin's Classics for the weekend of October 18th & 19th,2008.
• Those members wanting club shirts please contact Marcia Clemens to place your order at 651-258-4527. The club pays for the logo and the member pays for the shirt at approximately $20/shirt.
